"Canta oltre l'umiliazione ed oltre il buio
un orizzonte ancora ricco di sogni
un sole ancora pronto nell'agguato.
Canta, sì, che la speranza
è sempre là, strada ferma e radiosa,
anche se attorno a noi
si infittisce la rabbia della notte."
(F. Tuqan)

The performance, created by Serena Gatti , with the patronage of Pisa Province and of CentroNordSud in 2006, starts from a journey in Palestine and develops throughout an intense research of litterature, testimonies, contacts with volunteers, humanitarian associations and from artistic and human experiences.
The mise-en-scéne narrates with extreme semplicity some life experiences. It searches for a difficult balance between the brutality, the harshness and the delicacy of the issue. It evokes the conditions of a reality wich is extra-ordinary from our perspective; it creates and emotional memory that is far from the political debates and focusses where media do not reach.

The aim is to create a pièce easy to follow through different levels of communication, in order to reach a wider range of audience. The mise-en-scène creates also a chance for different realities to meet and to find a common groud.
The priority is to bring a message, to awake interest, to activate people's observations through the art of theatre.
